I bought this in 2019 and have only used it a few times since then. It basically stays in its "open" position in our garden under the patio awning all the time. Well we took it to the beach a few weekends ago and now (two years later) I've forgotten how to put it back in my bag. It was uncomfortable and difficult to put in a bag before heading to the beach. BUT let me just tell you - try to bend this and put it in a bag to make sure your little one doesn't go in the water and try to keep your baby from getting hit by beach volleyball and it's 95 Degrees outside, it's super stressful, 0/10 don't recommend. It's very light and we had enough space for a small cooler, a couple of bags and a sun lounger. The problem of putting this in a bag makes me not recommend this product.
