I work in production but spend most of the day in the lab/office. So I want steel-toe shoes that work well in the factory but also look good in meetings (and I prefer laceless shoes if I can find them). very wide " sizes. I have medium sized feet so this bothered me. However, when I dug a little deeper I found that the "extra wide" part refers to the toe and ankle area, but not to the entire boot.I usually buy shoes in a size 10 - 11 but since my foot is about 27.5cm at the end of the day, according to the manufacturer size chart it fits a size 9. I bought a size 9 for fear that it doesn't fit and it's too small, however after wearing it for 12 hours a day, 2 days in a row, I can say that they fit very well in the toe area, they certainly fit the manufacturer's size, so I'd rather use this one Size follow as your normal shoes.I wore them outside when it rained this morning and most of the water collected and drained,they were completely dry in about an hour with no stains.I'm wet soles on linoleum and such not slipped tomorrow ens I carried them to the lab labs with chemicals with no problems. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because, as others have mentioned, the ankle area is loose enough. Since my boots fit me perfectly, they stay on my feet without slipping, but it would be nice to have some extra ankle support to match the mid-height look. But I have slimmer legs as a swimmer, so those who are a little taller probably have enough ankle room. Overall these are great shoes, exactly what I was looking for!
