This is by far one of the best things I've bought for our new home

This is definitely one of the best things I've bought for our new home. I was very impressed with its quality and weight (I'm cold blooded, maybe half a sun lizard so I like heavy blankets). I wouldn't call it a super heavy blanket, it's on the middle side of the spectrum. Someone asked its size and it is approximately 88 inches long x 104 inches wide. I like to buy comforters that are one size larger than the bed, but I wanted to help answer the man's question, so here's a picture of him. You sleep a number on our large double bed. I think after washing it will be more impressive.
