Good for my long thin thick waves/curls

Overall I love this piece. It's economical, efficient, easy to use and really fun! I've tried and despised airless so it's a huge improvement. The Freestyle heats up quickly, but even on the highest settings I don't feel like I'm damaging my hair. I can twist or slide it fairly quickly, and I suspect my hair has little to no contact with hot surfaces. It's just a smart design. It smooths, adds shine and detangles my hair. I can use it to make smoother and longer curls on my natural curls or I can use it to make beachy waves. If you don't follow the instructions, you can tangle your hair very easily, which is scary. If I stop paying attention, my long hair will get tangled in this thing. Eee. However, this never happened when I actually followed the instructions. Mostly only when I'm free. It's also difficult to keep clean and I worry that the bristles might break if I accidentally drop them. I've also sometimes caused more curl with this tool, but that seems more of a technical issue than anything else. I've also noticed that I have a hard time creating volume at the roots with this tool - not sure if this is technically related or if my very long hair is too heavy. I also need to detangle the hair very carefully so I can use the tool without snagging or tearing the hair. Oooh. But the instructions say to unravel, so it's no shock. Just another annoying extra step with a bunch of hair. Overall I like it and I'm glad I found it.
