As others have said, this case folds up easily so it's great for when you want to dock your iPod. I love how it looks and how it feels. However, mine started cracking in several places about 5 months after the first use. It was a Christmas present so I don't have the cash, but if you need Otterbox durability, look elsewhere. Please note that it can easily slip off once it starts to crack. Then I realized I thought I had plugged in the charging cable, but IN REALITY the case was loose and blocking the correct connection. Easy to fix; However, I found myself with an uncharged iPod a couple of times, which was very annoying when I had to run out the door.
