I bought this primarily for a 70ft run around my cave through cable boxes, no sharp corners or pinch points. Pretty easy. I made a 2 foot speed test patch cord and got gigabit speeds but with a lot of variability. I don't have a cable tester and used an old laptop with a hard drive to test network speed and that explains it. I've also removed three switches and a long-standing CAT6 network from my NAS, but I've seen theoretical peak speeds for gigabit networks. I was running a 70 foot network and the router didn't even recognize the gigabit connection. Windows shows network speed 100/100, tested two different computers at the other end of the path. Not even hitting true 100/100 speeds; Signal loss is incredible for such a simple launch. Do not buy this cable for long distances. I was planning on using the rest to standardize all my patch cords around the house and I wouldn't even bother with it for that. I will try to return. The only thing that saved me was that I put it through cable glands and not through walls. The price was too good to be true; I attributed this to a length of 250 feet. Should have paid more attention to feedback.
