After adding this converter cable, my monitor resolution gets stuck at ultra low resolution. It was really big and blurry and I couldn't work as I couldn't read anything I did as it was so big. I called tech support and they confirmed it was the cable attachment as I had no issues before adding it, but due to a new laptop and changes to the system I needed a way to connect. He informed me that I could use an HDMI cable and see if that fixes the problem and the problem was fixed immediately. I was free to change the resolution. It didn't help with a 19" widescreen monitor. It might work for smaller monitors, but I wouldn't recommend it for this size.
