I like its flexibility. I frequently switch between plug-in machines and unplug them, and so far this has worked without hiccups or issues. This is my third Wi-Fi adapter. I ordered the first to see if it would work on some of my older laptops with unreliable wifi. I updated them all to run Windows 10. When I plugged the USB adapter into my USB outlet, it showed that I was able to reconnect to Wi-Fi. I didn't use any drivers or anything from the CD that came with it, I just plugged it in and it worked. So if you don't get Wi-Fi after connecting, you can probably just toss the drive in the trash. Another point to consider. If you're buying this as a Wi-Fi extender, it's not. The only thing this does is allow devices that cannot receive WiFi to have the ability to receive WiFi.
