The sponge has a smell, it is felt immediately as soon as you open the package, then it is no longer noticeable. The smell is not intrusive, it is difficult to describe, something chemical, but there seems to be a citrus aroma. After a few uses, sniff the sponge and the scent persists. It seems to be a protection against unpleasant odors that can accumulate in the sponge. But a very interesting abrasive surface, outwardly does not stand out. I immediately tried it with my hand and I didn’t like it at all, it feels like rubber and no hardness, such a surface is very unpleasant for hands, some kind of sticky. Immediately there was a doubt that she would be able to wash something when it was necessary to rub it well with a harder surface. But what was my surprise when I began to wash the mug, an ordinary sponge with an abrasive surface cannot always immediately wash off the plaque from tea, this sponge washed off the moment and it was so easy, I didn’t even have to rub hard. This abrasive surface does not scratch the dishes at all, suitable for delicate surfaces. Washes gently and very clean. Was very satisfied. Interesting and good quality.
