Review on Black USB 3.1 Type-C to VGA Adapter Cable by Amazon Basics - Enhanced SEO by David Lesperance

This adapter will only work with my monitor when connected directly to my 2017 MacBook Pro. This doesn't work when I use the USB-C port on the Apple USB-C Multiport Digital AV Adapter (with HDMI instead of VGA) as an interconnect. I got this to work using a Lention VGA USB-C adapter, so I can only assume this adapter is just lower quality. To use it at all, I have to plug the power adapter into the less efficient USB-C port on the Apple adapter. I suggest buying Lention (which I know works) or another trusted brand instead!
