Overall, it's exactly what I expected. It's not worth more than a hundred bucks, and it shows unfinished edges even with meticulous assembly. But, it doesn't wobble and it does what I needed it to do. The assembly instructions are AWFUL. I've assembled too many things to count over the years, some being extremely complicated pieces of furniture, and this was one of the worst instruction packets I've seen. The pictures didn't match some of my pieces (holes in different places), there are no labels/stickers on anything, and they don't shade or specify finished side versus unfinished sides. Beginning with the inventory page, where you're supposed to figure out if you're missing anything upon arrival, you can't tell, because (again) the pictures don't all match the unlabeled pieces, and good luck on the hardware, since they literally threw everything into one bag of loose nails, screws, and so on. So you basically just give up caring from the start, and figure that if you're missing something, you find out once you get to that point in assembly. Despite all of that, I put it together by myself in about an hour. I wish it came with punch-outs to run cords through the cardboard backing, but I can always make my own openings without much trouble. This is the second Prepac item I've bought, and I have to say that I'm not going to buy that brand again, simply because of the terrible way they package and prepare items. It wouldn't be difficult to label their pieces or put hardware on a hard sheet, with each type separated in plastic for easy inventory and accessibility. Their last item I bought was the platform bed with drawers in the sides, and half the pieces were missing. Once I received them about a week after contacting the company directly (who were actually pleasant to deal with, if you're wondering) they were warped. The drawers never closed right or fit snug against the bed frame, and the slats to put the mattress on always shuffled around and they snagged and tore my mattress underneath. Super frustrating. But hey, that's what you get when you buy cheap, so. You get what's advertised, and not one thing more.
