Overall, it's exactly what I expected. It's not worth more than a hundred bucks, and it shows unfinished edges even with meticulous assembly. But, it doesn't wobble and it does what I needed it to do. The assembly instructions are AWFUL. This is for a guest room that doesn't have a lot of use so it will be fine. However, if I were using it for everyday I know the finish would not hold up for long. The structure of the headboard is solid and will last but not the finish, typical of a fiberboard piece with laminated finish. The headboard looks nice in the guestroom and provides a bit of extra storage space which is what I was looking for. Ultimately it's a nice piece for the price.

I am handicapped and I was still able to assemble this queen headboard by myself. The most difficult thing for me was getting the heavy shipping box from outside my apartment door into the living room where I did the assembly. It did help that I have assembled one of these before so I was fairly familiar with the process.I am very pleased with the result and have no reservations about recommending this unit to anyone else.

I've had this headboard for several years and I really like it. I needed a king-sized headboard but they only make it in a queen size. It fits pretty close on my king mattress. There are a couple of inches on each side that are a bit short but it not very noticeable and doesn't bother me.The storage compartments are great with shelves and cubbies to put all kinds of books, remote controls, etc.What was a challenge for me was the assembly. Was fairly easy to assemble. Only took a couple of hours from start to finish, including a trip to the hardware store. There was 1 piece of hardware missing, was short one of the pins and had no luck finding a suitable replacement at the hardware store so made due without it. Just took a little ingenuity. Other than that, it went together well and looks good. Most importantly, my wife is happy with it.

I have been looking for a headboard for a while and had even thought of building one. The price of lumber I would need far exceeded the cost of this item. Thus to say. I love this headboard! The color matches my new flooring perfectly! Putting it together took me 1 1/2 hours. I put it together by myself which wasn't a hard task. It would have be MUCH easier had the parts been labeled. It took a little more time to look at the diagrams and make sure I was using the correct piece and attaching it

The headboard itself is a good value; sturdy, etc., with only one small nick easily fixed with black nail polish. However, assembling it together was a real PITA because of the terrible instructions.1. They are not online, so you can't study them in advance.2. They are not in color, so the difference between finished and unfinished surfaces is not always clear.3. super easy to put together and I can barely operate a screwdriver. It came from amazon and had a small crack in one of the boards. It was visible in the box. I tried to return to ebay but it weighed 70 pounds. It was too much work for me to try and put back in box. I decided to put it together and hope pillows and bedspread would not show crack. Looks very nice but is very thin and fragile. Do not load this up with books or items, it will most likely begin to bend and collapse under it's own weight. It's thin particle board.

I was super nervous about this purchase, for one, i saw a few reviews saying theres came broken and two, i have never assembled anything on my own before. Fortunately, it didnt come broken, came with all the hardwear and it was easy to out together and all i had was a screw driver. So 5 stars all around for me!

This went together so easily. Needed a little help with a couple screws as strength in my hands isn't great. I was a pretty grandmother to do it almost all by myself!

Great quality product. Arrived perfectly with no flaws. Yes, there are no labels on the pieces so if you’re not one that can figure things out it may be difficult. You can always YouTube. Took a little over an hour for me to put it together on my own. Needed a drill and flat head screw driver. I will figure out a way to raise the headboard since my pillows go into the storage compartments. Wish it was a little taller but should be an easy fix. Overall great product

This headboard does easily stand by itself and has very ample shelf storage while looking like great bedroom furniture. My only complaint is a couple of the wood pieces were cut slightly off for construction during their production so it looks a little awkward when putting it together, otherwise it's great.

I love this bookcase headboard, it is very sturdy and good value for price. Great way to get more storage space since I dont have night stands. Bit difficult to assemble, needs two people to be most effective. Def recommend.

Put the whole thing together. Though being particle board, I added some 2x6 studs to reinforce. It works for what it's worth, but if you have a higher bed (14" up + mattress) it's a bit close to the shelves). Otherwise, works well. Nice place to put candles.

This is just what I wanted. Storage on the headboard to easily reach and charge iPad. I created my own charging station by running a small surge protector up from the floor and Velcro to the headboard. Works great. You could also drill a hole. I put risers underneath it just to give it a little more height and it’s perfect. Assembly was slightly difficult but am impressed with the quality. Great product

I got the box intact and early! I was super excited and happy to put it together. First thing I noticed laying out all the parts is that zero parts are labeled. There wasn't even an attempt and some look very similar to each other. So I started out by labeling all the parts with stickers myself. That took a good 15-20 minutes by carefully comparing the charts and everything. Then I started assembling. The Plastic black dowels are a nightmare to work with. Too soft a hammer doesn't work, too…

When finished, the product looks good and feels solid. That said, my wooden parts were not labeled so you have to divine which part is which from the pictures. Second, on one piece the holes were not drilled correctly - I needed larger holes on one side and small holes on the other. They reversed it during production. It just involved drilling bigger holes on one side and deeper holes on the other. Overall, if you're reasonably good at putting things together, it can be done easily enough.
