Works on a wide range of voltages. I tested one which started operating at 2vdc. I then increased voltage. At 16vdc it flashes faster and brighter. At 18v it becomes difficult to see the flashing. I tested to 31v. The LED appears to be solid on at 31v. I then lowered the voltage to 15v and ran it continuously for 24 hours. It worked great. Just as good as Toyota brand, and cheaper. Be careful removing the old visor. I cut my finger. Later I watched a Youtube video about how to remove and install. Also I shorted a fuse and all the inner car lights went out. Luckily my husband knew to look under the hood, driver's side, under the wheel well for a replacement fuse.
