Great flashing LED: my feedback

Works on a wide range of voltages. I tested one which started operating at 2vdc. I then increased voltage. At 16vdc it flashes faster and brighter. At 18v it becomes difficult to see the flashing. I tested to 31v. The LED appears to be solid on at 31v. I then lowered the voltage to 15v and ran it continuously for 24 hours. It worked great. The video shown is after 24 hours of continuous use on 15vdc.

Pros
  • Product Parameters: The Anode: Red Wire / The Cathode: Black Wire / Forward Voltage: DC 12V / Forward Current: 20mA / LED Viewing Angle: 120°
Cons
  • May not be suitable for projects that require a lot of movement or vibration

Some colors not so bright

Ordered these in yellow for a cosplay costume. The color is closer to amber than yellow (much closer), and they're not nearly as bright as I'd hoped, even running them at 12 volts. But hey, 50 prewired and resisted leds for 9 bucks, so not so bad.

Pros
  • Product Overview: 50pcs Prewired 5mm Red LED - Red Lens (Diffused)
Cons
  • The wiring may be too thin or flimsy for some installations

Made them into spot light

Very bright, easy to solider. Best deal, last for many seasons.Solidered these in groups of 2 on speaker wire solidered to a 9v power supply for spotlights on my Halloween displays. (Used a straw hot glued around light and wrapped in black tape.)Approx 20 of these on 9v power supply.

Pros
  • Check polarity(?) before finishing connection.
Cons
  • Requires connectors and wiring work to install

These work great for hobby and other projects

Simply hook them up correctly to a battery (9 volt - 12 volt, I have been using a basic 9 volt), and they work great. Lots of them for a small price. Easy to use.

Pros
  • These LED lights are energy-efficient, consuming minimal power and reducing your electricity bill
Cons
  • The pre-wired design may not allow for as much customization as other options

Good Quality - my new review

I am using them on my model railroad setup. They fulfill everything I was looking for in lighting and are reasonably priced.

Pros
  • Prewired with built in Resistor, 20000 hours+ Lifespan.
Cons
  • May require additional components to function properly

Nice yellow color: my feedback

I got the multi color set for variety, but I bought these specifically to make yellow fog lights on my 1/12 scale RC crawler. The yellow is bright and vibrant with a nice diffused pattern!

Pros
  • Led's do what I expected with the right intensity
Cons
  • The red color may clash with other colors in a design

A good value for 120 pre-wired LEDs set up for 12V applications. The brightness across the colors is remarkably uniform (LEDs of different colors often have greatly different luminous intensities - these are very similar). Uniform amp draw across all colors at 22-23 mA. The resistors do run rather hot at standard automotive system voltages (13.6 - 13.8 V), but the wires seem to act as a sufficient heat sink. A 36-hour test in 95° ambient temperatures showed no problems, even if they were almost

Pros
  • Bright LEDs, good quality.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to hide wiring in certain designs

Decent LEDs, wires could be sturdier

I bought these hoping to save time. The LEDs are great. No problem with those. The wires they used are so incredibly thin that I personally would not include them in my builds. I ended up stripping the LEDs off of the cheesy wires and re-wiring them myself with mil-spec, copper wire (which is much, much more durable). This, obviously, ended up costing me more time than if I had just done it myself in the first place.

Pros
  • Wires break at post
Cons
  • The wiring can be difficult to strip or work with for some users

Very thin gauge wire

I do not like the wire gauge just to small to work with. I need to make the pig tails longer and its a pain to solder. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • The bright illumination ensures visibility, making it easy to read instructions, make repairs, or perform maintenance in low-light environments
Cons
  • The red color may not be suitable for certain medical or scientific applications

Wires are reversed on my review.

It's worth leading off every review of these with noting that the wires are opposite of what you'd expect - the black is the the positive and the colored wire (the wire color is the color of the LED, so you can find what you want quickly) is the negative. Other than that, they work great. Bright with 12-volt power. Leads are a good length. Good value for the money. Just frustrating when you put them down for 3 weeks and forget about the polarity.

Pros
  • These lights emit a uniform and consistent brightness, creating a polished and professional finish
Cons
  • The lights may not be suitable for certain aquarium or aquatic applications

A BRIGHT NEW ADDITION TO THE MARKET THAT IS EXTRAORDINARY

This product was exactly as advertised. The quality of workmanship is superior and there were no bad units within the package. All were spot on and are very easy to work with. The lead were great as a bit longer then most out there. The resistor was in in place and then shrink tubing was installed. All in all, a very well done product. I found not 1 bad one within the package and the packaging was well done and kept the shipment safe.

Pros
  • Enhance the aesthetics of your project with these eye-catching red LED lights
Cons
  • The lights may not be suitable for certain crafting projects

Very bright! good for me

Very bright! Wired 8 LEDs together on a 9v battery and they are very bright. 2 AA batteries in series work too, and still very bright.

Pros
  • Nice, bright, prewired, LEDs. A bit smaller than I thought they would be. Still, good illumination.
Cons
  • Not easily replaceable if one light fails

Comes in handy good for me

Nice and bright, consistent, and works actually way down to about 2V (at reduced brightness of course) and operates up to about 15V, where the forward current is still trimmed to less than 15mA by the onboard transistor. I have used these as indicator lights for a number of projects ranging from pathway lights used at night time events to low voltage indicators to using one as a signal source to run a current amplifier flashing bigger LED chains. So far they are consistent in their performance…

Pros
  • These easy-to-install lights are perfect for those with minimal technical experience or knowledge
Cons
  • May require additional enclosures or casing for safety
