Review on 🚿 Enhance Your Shower Experience with the Delta Shower Arm Diverter for Hand Shower, Chrome by James Naylor

The threads have been pre cleaned

Initially I couldn't thread the hose onto the bottom thread and assumed it was the wrong size. However, upon inspection of the whipstock, it was found that a dent had formed in a set of threads during the casting process. I was able to squeeze the hose about 3/4 of the way with a wrench. I also wrapped the thread with 4 layers of Teflon tape. The bottom outlet port is still leaking a bit, but now it's too much trouble to unscrew and ship everything. Unfortunately, Delta is selling a clearly and knowingly defective product to the public. Update 9/2020: Eventually the screw holding the valve knob came loose and the whole thing fell apart. I was able to temporarily use the knob to turn the valve, but had to guess the switch position as the 90 degree stop no longer worked. I replaced it with the same model and it contains the same flaws. Can someone please suggest an alternative product (the only similar valve has too short threads for my application).

Pros
  • It is covered by the Delta Faucet Lifetime Limited Warranty
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
