I looked for sausage boards for a long time before deciding on this one and overall I'm very satisfied. The wood texture is beautiful with good contrast and depth. The drawers are well made and the knives are beautiful and SUPER sharp. I've found that brushing can be an issue in some places where the wood grain isn't smooth, but I think the texture adds beauty, so it's not a big deal. Be sure to purchase cutting board oil and use it before first use and after each use by wiping the board with a damp cloth. You can really put a lot on this tray! I really appreciate the removable marble/slate tray as it allows you to keep meats and cheeses chilled and pops those items back in the fridge for a moment when needed.
