It works very well. Although I would definitely recommend setting it 1psi lower than desired and buying a second gauge to check your conditions. As someone who works in the power generation industry, I know from experience that I always have to use different readings and be careful with excessive pressure. When I used this for my truck tires I set it a little lower to 34psi and it showed 34.5psi after shut off alone. My other gauge read 35psi after disconnecting. So moral of the story, set it a pound or two lower than you would like and use a second gauge to check the pressure displayed until you are comfortable using the device.
