I have three of these products connected to three sets of RGBW lights using an iCreatin 24V 36W LED power transformer from 120 to 24V DC. While this adds 'smart' wireless capabilities, I still have LED strips plugged into a wall switch. The problem is that if a wall switch is used it will of course go offline and not automatically reconnect to the Phillips HUE and need to be re-synced. The biggest pain with this is that you have to remove the old ones, reconnect them and, if you want, rename them. change name again. It also messes up smartthings if you use it. I had some trouble connecting them the first time, I emailed the seller and received a fairly quick response with troubleshooting instructions attached. This helped me by teaching me how to reset the light by toggling it on and off 5 times and then checking for new lights in the Hue Hub.
