Review on 🎧 Gold Plated 3.5mm Stereo Plug to 6.35mm (1/4 Inch) Stereo Jack Adapter by Monoprice by Emmanuel Nguyen

Ordered two of these. Upon receipt I tested one with the audio jacks of various devices: the front panel of a desktop computer, laptop, smartphone, computer speakers, etc. Was very disappointed that on some ports it only worked if it was "plugged in just right". . Even a slight movement resulted in a loss of communication, the loss of both audio channels. But with other connections it works fine. Left a 1 star review here on Revain. The next day I decided to test the second adapter before using both To my surprise it worked better than the first one. It worked with all devices and was much less sensitive to connection loss due to jiggling. I took a paper towel and some denatured alcohol and cleaned the ends of the metal plugs on both adapters. A little grey-black substance became visible Washed away. Both adapters tested again and now both work great! Update 8 March 2015 This adapter has been discontinued. The intermittent connection problem reoccurs even after a cleanup. Downgraded to 1 star and another reviewer recommended the Hosa MHE100.5. Josa works great!
