Ideal for attaching to joists

I bought these to add joist hangers when remodeling my detached garage. I needed nails that would work with my Bostitch nailer and would not protrude from the back of the 2x4 I was attaching to.

Pros
  • BOSTITCH framing nails have a bending strength of 90,000 psi
Cons
  • Blank

The plastic material for selection remains.

I used this to attach the fence boards to the frame. I've tried different pressures (60-70# works best) and strokes. Plastic protruding from under the nail head has been described as pain in other reviews. This is still the best product for the price for the job.

Pros
  • DICKMANTEL Galvanized
Cons
  • So far so good

Works great.: Frame Nails

Nails work great. Some reviewers said they wouldn't move forward in the gun, I think it could be operator error. This is a large diameter. Nagel and you will need to adjust the shaft on your pistol to properly center the Nagel in the magazine. When you do this, the nails slide forward with no problem.

Pros
  • 1000 nails per box
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Essential for metal fasteners

These nails work great with the Bostitch F21PL Skeleton Nailer. If you use metal connectors, you need a box of them. Just be careful when using them. You can seriously damage your nailer if you tip it sideways and pull the trigger. Just take your time and focus on what you are doing.

Pros
  • Skeleton Nails have a round head
Cons
  • Doubtful

Ideal for metal connectors

I recently framed a 12ft x 21ft backyard patio. Using two support beams and 12" center beams required a lot of hanger beams and hurricane trusses. . These nails were a perfect match for my Bostitch F21PL nail gun. After shooting about 600 nails, I only had two jams, but they were easy to clear. Be sure to wear safety goggles because besides the usual hazards associated with power tools, little pieces of plastic will fly in all directions every time you shoot those plastic nails.

Pros
  • 1 1/2" x .148
Cons
  • No Auto

Nice nails, arrived intact

No complaints. All nails were intact. I've bought other nails that have come loose from the plastic needle, but the plastic on them is relatively thick so they'll hold up to shipping and not fall apart. They have the added benefit that if you happen to use them at face level, they're great for lightly spraying plastic splinters, which teaches you not to breathe through your mouth.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Ideal for metal connectors

I recently framed a 3.60 x 6.50 m garden terrace. With two support beams and 12 inch beams in the middle, many beam hangers and hurricane ties were needed. These nails are a perfect match for my Bostitch F21PL nail gun. After driving about 600 nails I only had two jams, but they were easy to clear. Be sure to wear safety goggles because aside from the usual hazards associated with power tools, every time you shoot those plastic nails while sorting, bits of plastic shards will fly in all…

Pros
  • Nails in tape
Cons
  • So far so good

The nails are fine, but so is the booklet attached to the nails.

Nails are fine but the booklet that came with the nails does not explain that the guide bar of the Bostitch F21PL Nailer must be removed to use this nail because of its .148" diameter. Otherwise the nailer will jam and the nose will splinter. Ask me how I know. Since this nail is for the F21PL nailer, it must include this information. The strips are also too long to fit the F21Pl magazine and need to be bent to fit, but that's how it should be according to Bostitch support.

Pros
  • Fastener in Tape
Cons
  • Broken
