Review on Braun SensorAir Air Purifier White by Emily Allen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy to install and operate

We used to have several air filters in our house. The Braun SensorAir is very easy to set up and use. In general we like it very much. If you set it to automatic, it will detect any air quality issues and then adjust the power level (there are four different settings) to take that into account. The color of the indicator (on top of the device) shows whether the air quality is bad (red), not good (yellow) or good (blue). You can also manually select the level you want the cleaner to work at (which is what we do when we need white noise). The ECO filter (back) is washable and reusable, the Odor/VOC filter (front) needs to be replaced about every 6 months, but you'll know exactly when to do these steps as the indicators will light up to show when which filter needs to be cleaned or replaced. We use the automatic mode most of the time, except when we need white noise while we sleep. We then set it manually and select one of the higher settings. The device emits ozone, but levels are considered safe according to the California Certified Air Purifiers site. The system always seems to turn yellow when we shower. We're not sure why. Maybe because of the shampoo/lotion smell? Also, we have to cover the display at night because it produces more light than we would like in our bedroom. I wish there was a night mode setting.
