Be careful with Silverados: headlights and lighting accessories
My Silverado detects a drop in turn signal current to detect a burned out bulb. These resistors should mimic the current draw of the original bulbs. The rapid blinking stopped when I replaced a blown incandescent bulb with an LED bulb and one of those resistors. When I replaced the second bulb with an LED in parallel with the resistor, the rapid blinking resumed. The circuit worked in all respects: all the headlights lit up, and the two equivalent load resistors heated up about the same. I'll be replacing all turn signal bulbs with LEDs, throwing away dummy load resistors and putting up with the rapid blinking.
