Unpleasant chemical smell

Shoes are really cute but have a strong chemical smell. They’re entirely made of synthetic material and I suspect it’s getting hot and moist after some time unlike in tennis shoes. Shoes are already worn one time and got dirty otherwise I’d return them. Wouldn’t buy for hiking and rather invest more money for a better quality shoe.
