Unconventional Uses: Storage and Organization

I'm using this camping trash can in an unconventional way. I live in a big US city. In my last high-rise building, the property management set up several garbage cans in the basement for the residents so that I could take out the garbage whenever I wanted. In my current apartment there is neither a garbage can nor an outdoor garbage can. The reception takes place once a week. If there's a storm, I'll keep the trash for *two* weeks. I tried to accommodate this by buying a very large trash can and a very large recycling bin. Plenty of space available most weeks. However, sometimes I have an overflow and need a place to set it down so the joint doesn't smell. This pop up jar folds up nicely to fit under my sofa or behind my bookshelf. (I live in a small apartment with limited space.) It's unpleasant to look at, but it beats the smell of rotting garbage in my kitchen. Holds the scent incredibly well. Not perfect. If there's something particularly dirty in my trash, I can smell it after a few days, but most of the time I can't. It's also quite spacious. I can store rubbish and recycling there. I bought my first one in early 2015 and noticed a puncture about a year later. I put strong tape on it and it wasn't a problem. At the age of 1.5 years the velcro that kept it folded stopped. what is the verb Velcro? So I used big pocket clips to keep it flat. In the end I decided to buy a new one. I get a lot of value out of mine so it was worth it. I put a star because of the hole and velcro, but it's sturdy and mostly doesn't let the smell through.
