Great bin for camping or general gardening.

Since I bought it, I always take it with me on hikes. I needed a quick and easy way to store camp junk without getting bugs or other small critters in it. Easily rinsed and reused, compresses into a very small space for later use. I think it was a solid purchase. In about a week I'm taking it out into the garden to pick up dead vines for transport back to the apartment for the bin. I am writing these reviews to try to help you. Ideal for camping!

Bought for camping use and tested last weekend. This trash can is a real gem! It stands great on its own, the velcro straps ensure it stays closed and compact when folded, and the zipped lid prevents most critters from accessing it during the night. (I say "most living creatures" because I'm sure a larger, more determined animal like a bear would have bitten or scratched itself with no problem, but for my camping style (modern camping) it worked like a charm.) needs a larger (30 gallon) garbage

Surprisingly good quality

We all try to 'leave no trace' in my family when we camp, so by the end of the stay we had to wander around the campsite to find all our junk. When all you have is a garbage bag, people don't seem to bother trying to find it, just leaving their cans/trash on the tables to be blown away by the wind. I've used it on a couple of trips, I put a bundle of wood under a garbage bag and it holds the tank in place and provides enough weight to keep it from flying anywhere in an accident. For some reason

Seems big but sturdy

Edit: I took them on a road trip last week. All in all they were pretty good. And a great blessing compared to the lack of anything. However, there are two things that were a little annoying. - At first, one of the tanks remained vertical while the other continued to partially collapse. - Second, I wish there was a built in way to attach garbage bags to the top edge but still be able to zip the top shut. The squirrels were a real problem so we had to keep the zip closed but as there was nothing

Unconventional Uses: Storage and Organization

I'm using this camping trash can in an unconventional way. I live in a big US city. In my last high-rise building, the property management set up several garbage cans in the basement for the residents so that I could take out the garbage whenever I wanted. In my current apartment there is neither a garbage can nor an outdoor garbage can. The reception takes place once a week. If there's a storm, I'll keep the trash for *two* weeks. I tried to accommodate this by buying a very large trash canโ€ฆ
