I recommend purchasing a specially designed filling for this purpose. I bought it because I thought wow, great idea. vault! So I used old rolled towels and such, it's been a long time since I bought it and I can't remember what I put in there because it took a lot more filling than I thought OR for that in the Was able to get there so it doesn't look clumpy. I could also use some pieces of memory foam I had left over from the project. Again, my recommendation is not to use memory foam. I planned that these would be seats for children. But I tried and went down to almost half his height and it was incredibly difficult for me to get back on my feet. *LOL* The old stool I remember from my childhood was quite dense from what it contained and wasn't soft, you could stand on it, and it didn't give way. If you're packing this yourself, use padding of the same density, but you'll fret less if you buy padding for it.
