Key Storage and Organization Disappointment

As much as I hate to say it, it just doesn't work for me. I was about to return it, but then I saw the shipping cost and decided to just keep it for myself (maybe as a gift) and write an honest review. First, let me say that I love gadgets built on the premise of simplicity, minimalism, clean design, or whatever you want to call it. It will definitely look like my lane. Unfortunately, KeySmart is none of that. With a key fob, I can just pull my keys out of my pocket and open the front door with a swipe of my finger while carrying four grocery bags. This is not possible with KeySmart. This is two-handed work. At least it was for me. In fact, I was fumbling around with my keys at the post office the other day too. In any case, even if you find the right key, you end up not actually holding it, you're holding the entire KeySmart and trying to point it at the keyhole. And if you miss and your finger doesn't support the button, it could very well flip up or down, forcing you to start the whole process over. Just look at this beautiful picture at the top of the page. Look how neat everything is. Take a closer look now. All of these keys are exactly the same. Are all your keys the same? Yes, mine too. So this is the perfect fit where they all slide smoothly around and over each other. Good luck with it. Even if you're a handyman with the included pads (that's another story), they sit more next to each other. The best way to quickly get the keys to where they can be used is to specify that half the keys go one way and the other half go the other way. Not that bad. But it wouldn't be good to find out if you're walking out of a thunderstorm and the wind is trying to get you and your umbrella to improvise in an impromptu Mary Poppins performance. In the end, I'm sure I can find something this thing is good at. But unfortunately, keeping the keys is not one of them.
