Ingredients: Water, Potassium Alum, Oleic Acid, Magnesium Chloride, Xanthan Gum, Flavoring (additive) Potassium Alum, also known as hydrated aluminum and potassium sulfate, contains aluminum. Potassium alum has an equal number of aluminum atoms and potassium atoms. I was misled by the "aluminum free" advertising of this product. In terms of smell, the bottle I received does not smell like coconut, vanilla or patchouli at all. However, it smells exactly like plasticine. Not a terrible smell, just not one that I enjoy smelling throughout the day. While aluminum is naturally occurring and found in many beauty products, I would suggest looking elsewhere if you don't want to add more heavy metals to your body.
