Maybe I just have a bad
Maybe I was just unlucky. I bought it for espresso. I would fill it with 195 degree water from my boiler and let it sit for 5 minutes. I would pour it out and top up with two double espressos as soon as possible (about 3 minutes). This will get it within half an inch of the tip. The outside of the bottle felt warm, so I knew it would lose heat quickly. After an hour it was just above room temperature but not leaking so I can still use it for ketchup or whatever.
