The bowl arrived quickly but was safely packed in a nice box. The icing on the cake is a highly reflective black with a subtle cloud character accent. Today I dried the bowl upside down and noticed a shell-like design on the bottom which could indicate who made the item or it could just be a nice ornament. This is really amazing quality for the price, my bowl is just as perfect as the one in the picture. If you zoom in you can really see the quality of the icing, the blue cream accent is particularly noticeable, but also the perfectly smooth detail overall. Such a handmade product will never lose in price and will cost a lot more if you buy it in a retail store. Therefore, it makes a great gift for anyone interested in tea, Japan, pottery or just quality tableware.
