Review on πŸ”Œ Metra 70-2021 Amplifier Integration Harness for Chevrolet Impala/Monte Carlo 2000-2001 by Andy Hearshman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I wasn't expecting at first but I'm glad I tried. Constar still works

After some experimentation with the wire combination I was able to get this to work on my 2001 Suburban. The factory amp decided to die. I really wasn't too optimistic as this product has mixed reviews. I managed to find a decent schematic and figure out the order. What surprised me the most was that the Onstar factory was still running after that. If you don't have an Impala that this harness fits, or if you're not very tech savvy, I wouldn't recommend this route. There are services that will repair your factory amp advertised on EBAY. Also, I cannot support the factory subwoofer in the bank with this adapter. I'm not sure I really need a sub. I will be replacing all speakers with decent aftermarket speakers as most of mine are blown anyway. With the Metra 71-2021 I can also connect a subwoofer if I want, but that requires some sobriety or splicing a few cables.
