If you are looking for a much cheaper alternative to Bose or David Clark airplane headsets, this headset is for you! I didn't feel comfortable spending over a thousand dollars on a headset after just a few flights, so I decided to give it a try and I'm very glad I did. They cost a quarter the price of Bose or DC headsets without compromising on style and quality. The fit is also perfect. ANR makes a huge difference and is exactly the same as the expensive headsets I have borrowed. I've had ANR on for about 30 hours and haven't had to change batteries yet. PNR is also very effective if you ever forget to turn on ANR or your batteries run out. The crystal-clear audio on calls to ATC and on the plane, as well as the sound quality of music through the aux, is also excellent. The microphone is flexible and stays in place. The foam on the microphone is also of high quality. The volume control on each ear is also a great feature. The lightweight zippered metal case gets the job done, and the zippered front pocket is perfect for storing a few extra batteries. I had a problem with stereo/mono. Setup (my instructor blames a few hard landings...) so I emailed Jack with the package insert and he responded within minutes with the exact solution to my problem. Not only was I impressed with the prompt and professional customer service, I was delighted to continue using this headset! It's no secret that flying is an expensive hobby or career - save a few bucks wherever possible! This headset is just as good as those four times the price.
