These lights are a great addition to the collection as they work brilliantly. These aren't the brightest lights, but at this price point, their brightness is on par with almost any other similar lamp. They just offer a little more options. First, as with any light, it doesn't take much to set them up other than downloading the app and plugging in the lights (unless you've already done so). with one of their connected lights). You then have an up and down arrow mode to scroll through the options (the mode also initiates the Wi-Fi reset process). For mobile use, they each have two battery compartments on the back. They do not come with batteries, but do come with power cords for standard wall sockets (per device). If you have Sony batteries that support them (they should have their own version of the battery as well as some other lights) they make a great portable flashlight due to their light weight. It won't take long to go through her connection to it. A few minutes with instructions and you're done with that too. That's what makes this light so valuable for your shots, as you don't have to walk around to adjust it manually. Not only can you control them through the app, but also set it up in a master/slave configuration so you just set up one light and then any light you have after that can follow what that light is doing. Ideal for quick changes to your setup. In addition, they have special themes like party modes, paparazzi flash effect and lightning effect. It's pretty cool (we especially liked the paparazzi effect and we'll most likely use it in a project someday just because it's there). That still makes them great video contenders. The overall presentation of the product is pleasant. It comes with a nice soft carry case to store your essentials. When you open it everything looks well organized and protected in individual felt pouches, so they stay in good condition between installs (assuming you keep the bags and don't throw everything back in the case without them to save time). As I mentioned earlier, they are lightweight, which makes them convenient to travel or get around with.
