The cable is exactly 12 inches long from the bottom of the female end to the tip of the male end, WITHOUT the pins. So it's not a foot-long Subway item. However, make sure 12 inches will work for you! Allow for some bending at both ends, remembering that it will not make an absolute 90 degree turn. After reading the reviews here I played it safe and bought a 24 inch power I'm glad I did! For less than $5 I'm keeping it in case I find a use for it somewhere someday and don't want to waste anyone's money on a product that fits right in with the hype.
