Review on 🏑 Enhance Your Space with Hardware House 207249 Ceiling Fan in Oil Rubbed Bronze Finish! by Russell Galbreath

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A very GOOD fan for this price range. GU24 light bulbs are easy to find online and are fairly cheap.

At first we just bought a fan to try. We liked it so much (especially for the price we paid $99.88 each) that we bought two more. Two of them wobble very little at high speed and the third doesn't wobble at all. They were all installed using the short bottom bar that came with the fans. All are pleasantly quiet and ensure good air circulation. The low speed is not too fast, which I like. At high speeds there is a slight rumble from the engine, but very weak, barely noticeable. Again $99.88 for a very nice remote controlled fan with built in lights, but not bad. This fan does NOT come with bulbs and this fan requires two GU24 base bulbs. CFL lamps with a maximum power of 13 W (equivalent to 60 W) are recommended for documents with a fan. I first tried a couple of GU24 LED bulbs I bought from Home Depot but they were only 9W (60W equivalent) and not bright enough for me. I then bought some 12.5w (75w equivalent) GU24 LED bulbs here at Revain (about $6 per bulb) and they fit great and were a bit brighter. You can also get adapters quite cheaply online (and possibly in stores) that will allow you to use medium sized fluorescent and LED bulbs instead of GU24 bulbs. If using adapters, be sure to purchase smaller bulbs that will fit the glass bowl. The installation was typical of a remote controlled ceiling fan. As usual, it was a little difficult to squeeze the remote into the canopy along with all the wiring, but using tape around the wire nuts prevents any connections from breaking. You will definitely need a Phillips screwdriver with a magnetized tip to attach the fan blades, otherwise you will be pushing screws into the motor housing to screw on the blades. (The birthday of whoever invented the maximum-point screwdriver should be on the calendar.) At the time of this review, these fans have been running for less than a month. But if they run into any issues I will come back and update this review. Until then, I consider these fans KEEPERS.
