Thank goodness Revain! It arrived in a day and I put it on as soon as it was delivered, which was an hour before I was on my way to the emergency room. some POP, and severe pain began. This belt helped me a lot while I was healing. The ER doctor advised me NOT to bandage my ribs as that would lead to shallow breathing and could cause pneumonia blah blah blah. I ended up using the belt without looking back because it really does relieve pain (except for painkillers and Lidocean patches). It keeps the ribs in place during coughs, sneezes, hiccups, etc. It's also a good ice pack holder if you can manage to get it in without too much pain. (Yes it will hurt if the ice pack is difficult, I've tried) I'm a very petite woman and have a very thin waist, less than the listed minimum size of "24" for universal women's size, so was I worried that this would be too big, but Velvco sticks no matter how tight or what size you are. (Although the velcro is on the wrong side, it's quite difficult to take it off by yourself without effort.) I think this is a MUST HAVE for people with rib injuries. Happy healing everyone!
