Originally ordered the 2XL based on the waist measurement, but it was extremely large in the chest. I'm a 38B but wear size 14 pants and usually size 12 dress, since I am bottom-heavy. Returned it (very easy, almost instant refund, which was greatly appreciated) and ordered the XL, which was closer to my chest measurement, and while I was worried that the posted measurements were 1-2" smaller than what I measured at my smallest waist point, the stretch in the material made it fit comfortably and without any tightness! I was very happy with that. I had to fix the tacking on the bust because the material caused the shoulders/back to sit about an inch higher than my shoulders, but overall the dress worked out very well for the "Dapper Dan Disney" holiday party.
