It's a little disappointing. I tried mounting my DSLR on this item but couldn't turn the position knob tight enough to prevent the camera from sagging. The grip is small and I was also concerned that the plastic construction might break if I tried to really tighten the ball mount. Also, the arms are quite thin and flex under weight. If you're using this for a webcam or small point-and-shoot camera, it will likely work just fine.
