I wanted to connect 2 external monitors to my iMac (3 displays total) and still have a USB-C port for my Time Machine. I've been confused by hubs showing a USB-C with additional power delivery for charging, but there is conflicting information about the data on that USB-C. This hub feeds data to one USB-C and the second USB-C is labeled power. Data is not supported. This is the only hub I've found that supports data over the added USB-C. This adapter allowed me to directly connect an HDMI monitor and a 2TB hard drive for a time machine via a USB-C data port, and had additional USB-3 ports and even an SSD card reader.
