Bought these speakers because the factory speakers left a lot to be desired. Using an old speaker, we set up a projection screen for a night movie trip in a quiet forest with the family, and even in front of the speakers, the sound was difficult to understand and hear, causing the kids to lose interest. No fun. However, with these new speakers, the sound was clear and you could really hear what was being said. We listened to audio books and day and night were different. We have yet to update the speakers internally as they share the same issues as the old external speakers. It can be very quiet at speaker volume and I can sit under the speaker but not understand what is being said. So frustrating! Eventually we simply turned off the internal audio and cranked up the volume on the new speaker and found that we were able to hear and understand outside words better. So yes, I recommend these speakers! They will make you much happier than the fuzzy, awful sound that standard speakers have. Car! It took my husband about an hour to install but he did it in the dark of night and worked on other things as well. So maybe less setup time than that.
