I used to buy a quarter size compressed towel so I thought it would be the same but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was much thicker and more absorbent. I thought the listed size was deceiving but when it got wet and I stretched it to the max I think it was right. I didn't stretch it any further because it might reach the breaking point. In general I am satisfied. It serves my purpose (travel) and for storing 1 in each purse for an emergency, much better than paper towels or tissues which fall apart with a wet use.
