I had a really hard time brushing my 8 year old daughter's hair in front of these brushes, they are very thin and get tangled easily. She has a sensitive head so combing has always been a problem. I was surprised that both brushes work differently, I thought one was smaller (travel size) but I found the larger one worked better on wet hair and seemed to pull just as hard as any other brush when dry. Although the smaller one works better on dry hair and doesn't seem to detangle well when hair was wet. I'm glad I bought this brush for the first time in 8 years. Combing my daughter's hair doesn't hurt. It takes a little longer to untie some knots, but it's worth it.
