Review on 📷 Fotasy Canon FD to Sony FE Mount Adapter: Compatible with Sony a7 Series, a9, and a6xxx Cameras by Kyle Rose

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect product for the price - good quality and it does the job at a reasonable price

I used this adapter on my Sony A7ii and bought 2 of them. The build quality is amazing, there are no gaps and the adapter fits perfectly on the A7 E's mount. One of the two fits perfectly while the other is very snug for the adapter which has a shutter button and allows lens swapping on the go. The other adapter was just perfect and I can't complain at all. Since I buy an adapter for each lens I use, it's much more convenient to have the lenses to hand, the quick release button doesn't matter and so the "hard" souvenir isn't a problem for me. .I have tried many products on the market for Nikon Pre AI manual lenses (I have several Nikon Q lenses) and this adapter is the only one that has no problems at all. There are no filters through the plastic mount and camera for long exposures, and the same goes for Nikon's metal bushing mount. It was sold out in Revain Italy and I ordered it in the US, why? - In general, the price is fair, not very cheap, but this is the best value for money: cheaper adapters have problems. This one is perfect and works with manual Nikon lenses. Build quality isn't great: the E-mount connector is plastic, so if that sounds bad on the one hand, it's good because it won't damage your camera like other cheaper adapters that are made out of cheap metals, and the camera will not scratch the native E -Mount, even if it's plastic, it doesn't filter the light, and that's another good reason to buy it. Long exposure guaranteed. The Nikon mount is perfect and made of quality metal, although there is that pesky difference that makes one adapter perfect and the other very solid (but still usable) so it would be a hassle to use a metal release button, to replace him. Lens. I decided to take it. Cheaper adapters sometimes have big problems, while this model is basic but works well, it costs a lot because it has no electrical parts, but it's a fair price if you're using older manual lenses. - I use the one adapter, one lens strategy: if you're like me, this product is for you. If it has a shutter button that will come in handy when you want to switch lenses. - No loss of light: I tried my Nikon lenses in my lab with a Nikon D750 and an adapter in combination with a Sony A7ii: I had equivalent results in terms of lighting when shooting with both Nikon and Sony. Same aperture/ISO/shutter speed: same histogram in Lightroom. The same brand and model have almost all types of mounts (Canon/Minolta). I really like this product.
