My advice: Don't take this scale as a 100% portable option. If possible, use an AC adapter. Otherwise, you might only get a battery charge for a few weeks. I bought expensive Energize Ultimate Lithium AA batteries - they lasted less than a month. Also, Bluetooth wireless only works with Android devices (you can download the Android app from the Ohaus website). So unless you can find a way to break that scale, Ohaus doesn't fully support full wireless and portable use from a Windows PC. You will need to purchase the RS-232 or USB option and find a third party device to convert this connection to wireless.
