True to the definition of a high waist, they sit right on my waist without forming a bun or cameltoe. I've always had issues with other jogging pants because either the high waist wasn't really a high waist (good for a tall woman) and it sucked to be constantly adjusting and pulling them down. They are long and prevent the dreaded "rubbing of tight skin". Best of all, they stay in place, won't ride up or fall off. The fabric is very soft and comfortable. Fit great and not shiny at all. I ordered XL for reference. I usually wear a size 16 US. 5" 9' 220 lbs
