At first I was worried the buckles would accidentally come loose or the laces wouldn't hold up. I am happy to report that there are no problems. The buckles require conscious intent and strong pressure before they actually come loose. I'd say it's extremely unlikely, if not impossible, for them to open accidentally. The strings are also very strong. I use them on several Fuji mirrorless cameras. This makes it really easy to detach the straps when you don't need them (e.g. when using your camera at home). As you know, having a camera strap at home can be a nuisance when you take it off a table or shelf. I had straps that caught on things a few times and yanked the camera out of my hand. Now I just take off my belts when I'm not outside. I would advise you to check them regularly with new Fuji mirrorless cameras. These new Fujis have a serviceable ring in the eyelet holes that have a stitch. The edge is potentially sharp and would hypothetically break the strings if sawed long enough. I haven't seen this in person, but there are some Fuji forum members who have warned against it. I don't recall ever seeing a real reported case so it's mostly speculation and paranoia I guess!
