I ordered the size Large and the total length is about 42 inches (about 107 cm). It seems like it should be almost perfect for me with heavy clothing, but running the belt through the buckle uses up about 2½ inches (about 6.4 cm) of the belt, bringing the effective overall length down to only about 39.5 inches (about 100 cm) is reduced. I have to go down to an XL waistband. The international return costs mean I'm stuck with a strap that's almost long enough. It would be nice if they published the total effective length of the different sizes. In addition, it is a single-layer band. It does what I would expect from a belt and will likely pass metal detectors, which can come in handy. It has a small pocket that I will probably never use.
