It seems like it should be almost perfect for me with heavy clothing, but running the belt through the buckle uses up about 2½ inches (about 6.4 cm) of the belt, bringing the effective overall length down to only about 39.5 inches (about 100 cm) is reduced. This is a good belt easy to wear with no signs of wear on the ends or sides. The buckle is made of nylon polymer and is at the heart of the security heading description. This is not entirely true.
