Does what it promises. Stays in place once zipped. I bought this specifically for paintball as the pants I wear are high waisted (with a belt almost at belly button height) and my everyday webbing kept slipping down to fit my hips. This strap keeps my pants where they need to be, even when I'm running, crouching, crawling, sliding, and diving. And the nylon buckle weighs next to nothing. A few things to note: 1) This belt is larger than average (about 1.75 inches) so check your belt loops and make sure they will fit a belt that is over 1.5 inches tall is. Most BDU pants should fit, but some casual pants may not have high enough waist loops. 2) Surprisingly little sag/excess material. If you order your actual waist size, expect enough material to go through the buckle and tuck in a small elastic, about 2-3 inches. I'm not worried about it slipping out because the buckle holds up pretty well if I had to really tighten really hard there would be little material to hold on to.
