Review on Ultimate Power LampCharger: The Multi-Functional Charging Station by Sam Lund

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exactly what I was looking for!

So glad I stumbled across this! I had a small wall charger that connected to an extension cord that connected to another extension cord and then connected to my lamp. I did this because I needed a charger next to my couch and a wall wart was my only option. I bought a lamp with built in USB but I already HAVE the lamp and it has a new shade and I even recently painted it. My wall wart died and about a day later I saw this Lamp Champ on Buzzfeed in an article about cool electronics and thought "THIS IS MY ANSWER!" This is a great way to bring your charger into the room without an extra one having to use an outlet. . And so that it is close to you and not where there is an outlet. One "complaint" was that it was too wide to fit a harp on a lampshade. But I grabbed this harp with both hands and pulled it like Superman, and it flexed enough to fit the Lamp Champ. from my beautiful lamp. And I got rid of one of those extension cords!

Pros
  • INSTALLATION: First unplug the lamp from the outlet to ensure the lamp is not receiving power. Unscrew the current bulb and set it aside. Screw the Nyce Power LampCharger into the lamp socket until it stops. Screw the bulb back into the LampCharger's lamp socket, located on top of the adapter. Make sure the lamp charger power switch is in the off position. Plug the lamp back into the socket. The USB ports provide power without having to turn on the LampCharger.
